You wanna talk about the horror that Nick did in his life? Here's another taste.

==============

If you ever wonder how much research goes into the comic, know that I did enough to realize that a Triad gang making a play on New York City in 1968 is only mildly more believable than the brain monster or the Mafia wizard turned into a monster by magically altered nanotech.

I ended up keeping them in, though, because it ended up being a better justification for using a tool of Zhuge Liang, known as Kongming, a historical dude that was badass enough that people decided he was, in fact, a wizard after the fact. Please check out page 2 of my guest art for Love Kills Slowly, which just so happens to be in FULL COLOR!

See you on Friday, kids! Have a great week!

Triads, also known as Tongs, are secret societies... it's generally accepted that where there is a sufficiently high population of Chinese people, there will be a Tong in their midst (this is not meant as any form of discrimination, just statistical, as many Tongs work as benefactory organizations within their communities). A friend of mine and I did a project on Triads and Tongs in high school. Multiple Tongs could conceivably been working in New York during the late 60's, but with a large focus on the Italian mafias, and their secretive nature the Tongs could easily have been overlooked.
